Final Update + final thoughts(Maybe)

Updates:

Changed some dialogues in the game.

The game had slow start, so rushing the horror aspects, player starts the dream level from day 1 on ward instead of day 2.

Added 1 extra dream level.

Events like using kettle, microwave, eating and brushing teeth are now skippable.

Now player-objects interactions is more consistent. (The game has a unique feature where the player character interacts with the interactables in game by moving his hand towards the object and touching it, moving the player or cursor away from the object stops the interaction from going through. Now the player stops for a brief moment when interacting with objects until the interaction is completed)

Final Thoughts

I think I may have bitten more than I can chew by trying to make this game. I wanted to make a horror game but some what different from other horror games in itch.io. Pig slaughter house is supposed to be a series but I should probably improve my skills first if I ever want to continue the story. I tried to do a lot of different stuffs to make the game unique but I got kinda burned out fixing bugs and stuffs. I rushed the game trying to finish the game within a dead line that I gave my self. Looking at the gameplay reaction, it seems that the players found some parts of the game boring, monotonous and were overall having issue with the player interaction feature (before 1.3 ver). I felt bad for some player as the game felt more disturbing than scary although that was my intention. But overall, I am happy with the end result but not satisfied.

Thanks for playing the game, hopefully the future game will be less frustrating and more scary and even more disturbing + lots of 4th wall breaking stuff.

I agree that some parts were a little tedious but overall it felt like it fit pretty well with the game. It was pretty interesting watching the story unfold and wondering what was gonna happen next. I would definitely like to see a sequel that continues the story. Don't beat yourself up over it. It was still a nice, dark game and remained entertaining.

I will try to make some other games first, not so sure about the sequel yet. Anyway I am happy that you liked the story.
